In a little less than one month, we will celebrate Lydia Mei's second birthday and her United States Day. These past eleven months have been hard living with a new addition and even as we approach the terrible two's (or terrible one-and-a-half's), I have learned that love comes in all shapes and sizes. It is amazing to me that I can love her as much as I do. Right now, she is calling for Mom and crying in a corner wanting nothing to do with me as I babysit her. She has been sick lately, just like she was when she came home. I often wonder just how much she remembers, but the only thing we can do is pray and have patience with our lovely little girl. She may be up all night and be a little naughty but she is ours and we love her. I thank God every day for His gift, His child, that He has given us.

Lydia Mei when I came home from school today, she got ahold of a pen.

Thanks for posting for me, Elizabeth! The naughty part was writing with a ball point pen on her face....I know, I know, awfully close to the eye!
Wow. I wish that I could post that good. Chandler
Elizabeth....you are a GREAT big sister!! The Lord is blessing you without you even knowing it! The things He has shown you, the experience you are having, is all preparing you to be who He wants you to become! I can't wait to see what He has in mind for you! Lydia Mei is a blessed little girl to have such a great big sister to take care of her! And don't feel bad, Gracie cries for me too when Nikki watches her!
i often think of how much gracie actually remembers. I asked one of my psychology professors and she said they remember nothing. They can only remember feelings. So in their little souls they know something isnt normal, but they dont know why so that is why sometimes they 'act out' (ie crying, being clingy, wanting mommy)
