Update...

Just a quick update on our family. Lydia Mei is two, busy, talking a bit more, definitely knows what she wants. She has been very sick this week....my second week of full time work. Ugh. Doug was able to stay home most of the week to take care of her.

Aaron and Benjamin are both active in Cub and Boy Scouts. They are shouldering a bit more responsibility at home as I am working more. They are so glad for warmer weather to be outside. They both played Jr. Pro basketball at the school this winter and both participated on a Battle of the Books Team (like Quiz Bowl on 12 books against other teams).

Elizabeth was selected to go on the Show Hope Missions Trip to China in August with Shaohannah's Hope (Steven Curtis Chapman's organization). Wow! She filled out an application, her testimony, and had two recommendations written on her behalf from a teacher and a close family friend. We are very proud of her....and I can't believe she is going to China for two weeks without us! I am sure this will be a life-changing experience for her!

Jacob finished his JV basketball season in time to be asked to practice with and join the varsity basketball team during tournaments. So far, they have won districts and regionals. He hasn't played much during the games, but has been practicing hard against the starters in practice. Only three more games stand between now and the state championship.

Doug is working at Flowserve, helping out with both Cub and Boy Scouts. I started working full time at Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan as a Home Care Team Leader. After almost two weeks, I can say that I enjoy this position and the people I work with . Of course, I miss my colleagues at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence (same organization), but I am not missing the night shift.

Hopefully the next post won't be too far in coming and I will be able to post pictures. Our complicated life wouldn't be possible without our faithful God. We have so much to be thankful for.
