A little update about Lydia Mei...I had her to the Pediatrician's office this morning. She weighs 18 lbs 11 3/4 oz. Since we have had Lydia Mei, she has gained just over 2 1/2 pounds! Lydia Mei had 4 immunizations this morning: varicella (chicken pox), MMR, Hepatitis A and B. Ouch! However, now that she has had 1 of everything, the pediatrician is not in a great hurry to catch her up, which I appreciate. Her next round will be in July. (soon enough!)


I have Lydia Mei scheduled with an Early On Intervention Team through the county wide school support system in Kalamazoo County (KRESA) for mid May. While she is picking up new things every day, I am looking forward to having her evaluated.

Lydia Mei is a delight! She loves her brothers and sister. She is attached to her mommy and daddy. Benjamin (age 11) helped tuck into bed last night. Aaron (age 9) loves to play with her and show her how "wild" he can be. Jacob (15) and Elizabeth (13) are so good with her and help out in so many little ways. We are blessed beyond measure.


Of course, no posting would be complete without a picture or two. This past weekend, in an attempt to keep Lydia Mei awake a bit longer in the evening, I had her in the Excersaucer. Yep, she fell asleep, holding her favorite teddy, "Grant". The other picture of her is with Benjamin holding her.
