Saturday, March 29: It has been a busy week!

Life with a new baby in the house is extremely full in many ways. We truly feel God's blessings on our busy family! Someone mentioned to me that newborns sleep more than 20 hours a day at first. Hmmm. Not sure if I would want that, but there are days I would really like Lydia Mei to sleep through the night or at least take a solid 2 hour nap. For some reason, she has decided that nap time isn't all that great. It is a challenge to get her down for 1 nap. Yesterday, I drove around for an extra 10 minutes to make sure she was really asleep before trying to transfer her from her carseat to her crib!
Lydia Mei has also decided this week that she does not like barrettes in her hair. She takes them out, looking at me with a look of ?defiance?. A good opportunity to practice what NO means. Most days now, she has hair hanging in her eyes. Doesn't seem to bother her. Drives me crazy, though~
So, today....Doug, Benjamin, and Aaron collected food for Cub Scouts, Elizabeth is out running (cold but sunny here), I convinced Jacob he could earn some $ by washing my very dirty van. I plan to run errands BY MYSELF this afternoon. What could be more fun!

Anyway, I have posted a couple of pictures of Lydia Mei on Easter Sunday.
