Thursday, 2-21-08 People's Park in Nanchang

We visited, as a group, the People's Park in Nanchang. The park is huge and is a respite from the bustle of the city. There is a small amusement park, many retirees exercising, and a few families. Lots of area to walk. It was good to be outside!

Lydia Mei rode in the front pack and was quite cozy! Me too! On the way back to the hotel we stopped at a porcelain shop. Later, we had lunch as a group at the Chinese restaurant at the hotel.

Late afternoon: received Lydia Mei's Adoption Decree, Chinese Birth Certificate, and Certificate of Abandonment. The last line of the Abandonment Certificate states: "Wang Meiyue is an abandoned baby definitely." Oh, how precious our little girl is. I can only believe that her birth mother loved her so much she felt the best thing for her was to bring her to a place where she would be found and brought to an orphanage. Her exact circumstances will never be known, but I thank God that she carried this baby to term and gave her life. Praise God for that!
